One the greatest ways that technology has influenced talent is talent management by companies.

Today, we’re going to look into how technology has completely changed the way companies manage talent.

1. Social media

Talent acquisition, through social media is one of the fastest growing branches of talent acquisition. Companies, especially Human Resource (HR) professionals, have seen the value & influence of social media in acquiring talent.

Social media is important because it gives talent recruitment an informal hue. Through social media, companies can find out more about their candidates beyond the resumé & job interviews.

Job advertising has become more effective because companies use targeted marketing. Targeted marketing helps companies reach the exact right people for the job & at the right time. This makes it less likely for unfit people to apply for openings.

HR have consequently used less time in recruiting. This has greatly improved efficiency. HR has therefore had more time to focus on more internal company matters.

2. Talent information

Technology has made strong talent information easy & secure. Traditional anti-virus & anti-spyware programs are still used to protect information, but they are not totally secure.

With blockchain in HR, companies can store candidate information. This also includes information on training  programs and work performance. Data is safe from theft & tampering. By knowing that their data is safe, HR professionals can make better assessments of their candidates.

3. Mobile apps bring companies and candidates closer

Delivering information is one of the more challenging part of any talent recruitment process. Emails, calls & other forms of immediate communication are good but aren’t that efficient. Mobile apps are a better solution. They make the recruiting process much easier without too much investments in effort & resources. It also helps them call in only the most impressive candidates. The immediacy of this process allows for better use of time.

4. Big data make things faster

Data keeping has always been a huge struggle for many companies. Though they may run successful recruiting campaigns and advertise the job opening, the data is still at risk of being compromised. Big data is helps with this problem, though. Through a bigger flood of data, companies have been able to get a much better picture of their candidates.

Companies are benefitted with big data as they get to know their applicants' requirement and how to find them. Only a few people realize that big data has capabilities that it is directly responsible for companies being able to adapt to their candidates' requirements, giving for a much fairer work market.

Moreover, big data is largely linked to talent acquisition analytics. Close supervision of a new employee will be done, and their future success can be evaluated using existing analytical data. Moreover, big data help acquire new talent for your company.
